FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

No. We are an out-of-network provider, though in some cases you may be eligible to use your out-of-network insurance benefits for our sessions.  An invoice or super bill can be provided to help you get reimbursed from your insurance company.  Contact your insurance company directly to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits.  Suggested questions to ask are: What are my mental health benefits? What is my deductible? What is my out-of-pocket max? Do you cover session code 90834?

What is your cancellation policy?

We strive to provide exceptional care while respecting the time of both our clients and therapists. Should you need to adjust your appointment, please notify your therapist a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled session time. Appointments cancelled or missed within the 24-hour window will be subject to the full session fee.

What are the benefits of online therapy vs. in-person therapy?

Online therapy is more convenient, efficient and flexible.  Those who need support the most, often have the least amount of free time. With online therapy, you can get support during your lunch break or while the kids are sleeping. Virtual therapy allows for increased comfort. Sitting on your own couch or bed improves your comfort level, which increases your ability to heal.Virtual therapy offers maximum privacy. No more uncomfortable run-ins with someone you know in the waiting room.

How long does therapy take?

The frequency and length of therapy is highly individualized and dependent on many factors.  It is a collaborative and dynamic process discussed in and throughout treatment. Recommendations can be suggested by the therapist, but ultimately, the client decides on the frequency and length of treatment that will best meet their needs.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at time of service. Online storage of credit card information through Ivy Pay is required for automatic, recurring processing.  Ivy Pay is a credit card payment system designed specifically for therapy.  It works with debit / credit cards and HSA / FSA accounts. It is HIPAA secure and keeps therapeutic relationships confidential. To determine the total estimated cost over the course of a year, simply multiply the fee per session by the number of anticipated sessions.

How does confidentiality work?

Briefly, everything said during a therapy session is completely confidential with three exceptions: 1) if a child is in danger, 2) if you are in danger of harming yourself, or 3) if you are planning on harming another person.

The path to relief is a phone call or email away.
